46 plots to become available in Espoo’s application process for detached house plots
This coming autumn, the City of Espoo will once again organise an application process for detached house plots for residents. There will be 46 plots in popular detached house areas available. The Business and Competitiveness Subcommittee decided on the application process and its conditions in its meeting on 6 May.
The largest number of plots, 15, will be available in Kurttila. 7 plots will be available in Espoonkartano and 6 in both Latokaski and Lintuvaara. There will be 5 plots available in Kauklahti, 4 in Kalajärvi and one in Henttaa, Laaksolahti and Nupuri.
27 of them are new. The remaining 19 are plots returned to the city last year or the year before. The number of returned plots is higher than usual, partly due to the difficult situation in the construction sector. The new plots are located in Espoonkartano and Lintuvaara. There are both new and returned plots in Kurttila, Latokaski, Kauklahti and Kalajärvi.
All areas are popular detached house areas.
Applicants can buy or lease plots
Anyone applying for a plot can choose whether to buy or rent the plot. In the previous application process, 8 applicants bought and 41 rented the plot.
The plots have an area of 444-1,800 square meters and the permitted building volume is 111-360 floor square meters.
The exact date of the plot application process starting in the autumn will be announced later on the City of Espoo website, where more detailed information on the available plots will be updated later. The plot application is based on a draw, and Espoo-based applicants are given priority.
