Hockey Day in Finland comes to Tapiola, Espoo, for 1–2 March 2024

The Hockey Day in Finland ice hockey festival will be organised for the second time ever. The event venues are the Tapionkenttä ice rink, the Ice Garden and the interior of the Cultural Centre.

The event offers various sporty activities and culture for the whole family. You can try out various activities related to ice hockey, take skating lessons, dance at the ice limbo and ice disco, or try sledge hockey, among other activities. The ice hockey related NHL Global Fan Tour activities will be open to the public throughout the event. 

The programme also includes figure skating and culture shows, junior ice hockey games and star guests.
On Saturday, the Ice Garden will host a game starring about 20 Finnish ice hockey legends. The line-up will include several Stanley Cup winners. The team rosters will be published on the week of 19 February. 

The Stanley Cup, the NHL championship trophy, will also be on display at the event. Visitors can take photos posing with the trophy. Finnish ice hockey trophies will also be on display.

The event will culminate in the NHL game Carolina Hurricanes vs Winnipeg Jets, screened at Tapiola Hall in the Cultural Centre on Saturday evening. The watch party will begin at seven. The game will also be shown on the Ice Garden outdoor screens.

Viaplay will broadcast material from the event on its own channels throughout the weekend. Viaplay will also host a live studio at the event.
