The exhibition "The Glow of Hope" by Ukrainian artist Kateryna Harahulia, also known as Dextrum Methodo, is a unique synthesis of art pieces from painting series - "The Forest Glow" at Children's cultural centre Aurora 1.2.-9.3.2024
The exhibition is about hope for peace and a better future, as well as optimism, which helped to overcome great difficulties.
Art pieces of cheerful series “ The Forest Glow” was made in the creative residence "Haihara" in the city of Tampere with the support of the Union of Artists of Tampere and the organization "Artist at risk".
The series expresses artist’s feelings and emotions from the effect of the beauty of nature in Finland, after the horror of war and a destroyed homeland.
Bright colors and unusual compositions convey creator’s impression of the picturesque landscapes, weather changes, the wonders of nature, its processes, sunlight, the interaction of the environment and human.
Also, the features of the compositional solution indicate the identification of dialogues and convey artist’s feelings from situations, emotions from communication and experiences from different life situations.
Dextrum Methodo studied at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Fine Arts and the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (Ukraine).
She is a versatile visual artist and designer with master degree, who has exhibited in major cities in Ukraine, Finland and Europe. She is a Member of Finnish Painters Union and Ornamo.
The exhibition is open 9-16 and Saturdays 10-14.
