Taskukirjasto to be replaced with a Helmet mobile site at the beginning of 2024
The Taskukirjasto app will be replaced with a Helmet library mobile site at the beginning of January 2024. In the future, you will be able to use a browser version of the new Helmet online library conveniently on your phone.
Helmet network consists of the city libraries of Helsinki, Espoo, Kauniainen, and Vantaa. The Taskukirjasto app will be replaced with a Helmet library mobile site at the beginning of January 2024. In the future, you will be able to use a browser version of the new Helmet online library conveniently on your phone.
You can already try out the new Helmet online library opened for test use on mobile devices at helmet.finna.fi.
The mobile site of the new Helmet online library will feature all the information and functions of the desktop version. You can search for materials, make, remove or freeze reservations, check the contact details and opening hours of libraries and read the latest news and book tips. All in all, there are more functions than in the current Taskukirjasto app. For example, fees will be displayed on the mobile site as well.
Please note that any favourites you have added in the Taskukirjasto app will not be transferred to the mobile site of the Helmet online library. The friend loan function will also be disabled.
Like the Taskukirjasto app, the new Helmet online library will feature a library card. You can display your library card via the ‘Your account’ menu after logging in.
