New Syvänsalmenpuisto park completed in Finnoo
Finnoo now has a new park as Syvänsalmenpuisto opened for the residents in November. Syvänsalmenpuisto is the first park to be built in Finnoo which has a well-rounded playground and outdoor exercise area. The construction of the park improves recreational opportunities in the Finnoo area.
The Djupsundsbäcken stream channel runs along the northern edge of the park. New deciduous and coniferous trees have been planted to make its surroundings more verdant and diverse. The new Lapinpellonpolku path goes through the entire park and benches and lighting have been installed along it. The Lapiarinsilta bridge continues the series of wooden bridges already built along the stream channel and improves local recreational connections in addition to new lit park walkways.
Syvänsalmenpuisto playground provides a fantastic setting for families to spend their spare time. The playground is equipped with different swings, a climbing frame, sandbox, merry-go-round and slope slide. The playground is fenced off for added safety. Lighting is used for ambience; Ordinary lighting at the playground is accompanied by special lights which cast illuminated animal tracks onto the ground.
In addition to the playground, Syvänsalmenpuisto also has an outdoor exercise area for various kinds of exercise activities. The outdoor exercise areas in Espoo are suitable for people of different fitness levels, free of charge and open all year.
