Winds of change are blowing: Free-of-charge business advisory services are to be transferred to the City of Espoo starting January 1, 2024
EnterpriseEspoo’s operations in their current form will end at the end of 2023, and the City of Espoo will assume responsibility for the business advisory services as of 1 January 2024 as part of the Business Espoo service network. The main reasons for the change include streamlining the business advisory services and ensuring a more client-oriented approach.
Espoo Regional Enterprise Agency (Espoon Seudun Uusyrityskeskus ry) continues to operate without EnterpriseEspoo’s (YritysEspoo's) brand name and provides city of Espoo with a service based on the national Enterprise Agency concept. In the future, the only employee of the association, the executive director, works in close cooperation with the city's business advisors, provides free business advice consultation and is responsible for member acquisition and communication with the association's membership network.
Business Espoo – together for the customer
EnterpriseEspoo has been serving entrepreneurs and those interested in entrepreneurship since 1993. Over the past three decades, operations have been renewed in the spirit of the times and in order to better serve our clients.
In 2018, EnterpriseEspoo co-founded the Business Espoo business service network together with the City of Espoo, Enter Espoo, Omnia, the Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Espoo Enterprises and the TE services. The core idea of establishing the network was – and still is – to create more jobs and dynamism in Espoo by providing client-oriented, high-quality and cost-effective services for businesses and entrepreneurs.
Now, after five years, we are pleased to say that we have successfully met our goals. Business Espoo’s business service offering is well-established and already familiar to many residents in the Espoo region.
“Entrepreneurs and those interested in entrepreneurship in Espoo will continue to receive high-quality business advice from the experts at Business Espoo,” says Harri Paananen, Director of Economic Development at the City of Espoo.
How does the operational change of EnterpriseEspoo affect the clients?
Clients will continue to be served by expert business advisors who will help you with any questions related to entrepreneurship. In addition to business advice, clients have the opportunity, as usual, to take advantage of all the services covered by the Business Espoo network.
