Culture Committee’s third interim report on the 2023 budget and strategy, situation on 31 October 2023
The Culture Committee took note of the third interim report on the budget and strategy of the Cultural Unit.
Report on the needs of the Cultural Unit regarding the premises projects included in the investment programme 2024–31
The Culture Committee took note of the Mayor’s proposed budget for 2024 and financial plan for 2024–2031 regarding investments and of the report on the future premises project needs of the Cultural Unit for the preparation of the new investment programme.
Regarding the temporary premises of the Cultural Centre, the Culture Committee requires that necessary temporary premises be allocated for Espoo Music Institute in addition to Tapiola Sinfonietta and Tapiola Library for the duration of construction.
The Culture Committee also noted that the 150 m2 space intended for circus activities included in basic education in the arts that was presented in Länsi-Espoon lukio’s needs assessment must be taken into account in premises planning.
