Anu has received positive feedback for previous courses for the way she has made participants more confident about being able to maintain their own bikes. Anu also hopes that participants would appreciate their bike more after the course.

The Bicycle Maintenance Basics courses are organised as part of our It’s Like Riding a Bicycle project. The project promotes cycling in many ways in Espoo. Through collaboration with the residents and businesses, we are affecting the opportunities to make sustainable choices in daily life in line with the Espoo Story city strategy. Traffic accounts for approximately one third of greenhouse gas emissions in Espoo so residents’ choices in terms of transport make a difference.

The It’s Like Riding a Bicycle project has received funding through the Sustainable Cities Climate Impact Challenge organised by the European Union’s communities EIT Digital and EIT Climate-KIC. The challenge supports the transition to cleaner, greener and smarter mobility. The implementation of the project is funded by the international logistics company FedEx.
