Espoo starts offering housing counselling

Housing counselling is available to all Espoo residents who need it. The aim of housing counselling is to help residents resolve housing-related problems and questions.
The City of Espoo’s housing counselling service will be launched on Friday 1 September 2023. The service will be provided by Edistia (Espoon Diakoniasäätiö sr). Housing counsellors are social services professionals and help all Espoo residents solve issues related to housing and finding a home. The aim of the service is to reduce evictions and homelessness in Espoo.
Anyone who needs housing counselling can contact the service. Housing counselling is free of charge.
“Many major rental housing providers offer housing counselling to their clients. The city’s housing counselling service also helps those living in private rental homes and owner-occupied homes,” says the City of Espoo’s Housing Manager Anne Savolainen.
Housing counselling is available from Monday to Friday by phone, via email and at scheduled face-to-face and remote meetings. You can also meet housing counsellors at the Sello Library on Tuesdays from 9:30 to 12:30 and at the Iso Omena Service Centre on Thursdays from 12:00 to 15:00. The email address for housing counselling is asumisneuvonta@espoo.fi.
