Vanha Lillhemtintie street will be closed to motor vehicle traffic
Vanha Lillhemtintie street between Henttaa and Suurpelto will be closed to motor vehicle traffic on Tuesday 20.6.2023.
One-way vehicle traffic from Henttaa to Maakirjantie street was permitted on the Vanha Lillhemtintie street as a temporary traffic arrangement at the start of 2021. The Supreme Administrative Court in its decision on 7.6.2023 has declared the temporary traffic arrangement unlawful. The Espoo city council and the Technical Services Committee acknowledged the court’s decision in their meeting in June 2023. Re-opening the connection requires zoning changes.
The city planning department has begun the zoning change that would open the Vanha Lillhemtintie street to vehicle traffic. The participation- and assessment plan and preparation material for zoning were visible 6.3.- 4.4.2023. The plan is estimated to move to the proposal state phase in autumn 2023.
