This summer, residents of Espoo have mapped and controlled harmful invasive species through the Crowdsorsa mobile game. Active players have also been able to earn some pocket money.

On Monday 3.7. the popular campaign will continue. More Himalayan balsam sightings will be added to the game’s map. Everyone can participate in the eradication of the species through the game.

On Wednesday 12.7. a new invasive species control mission will be added to the Crowdsorsa app, in which garden lupine and Himalayan balsam sightings can be marked on the game’s map. A one-euro reward is paid for each new observation. The mission will stay open until the reward budget is met.

More detailed participation instructions can be found on the Crowdsorsa(external link, opens in a new window) app which can be downloaded for free from app stores.

Thank you to all residents who have participated thus far and welcome abroad to the next season of the game!
