Finnish early childhood education and service guidance in the summer

Early childhood education is less busy in the summer, as some of the children and employees are on holiday.

During the summer, you can report any extra holidays or other abcences of your child through the eVaka calendar as usual. Book the exact weekly hours of attendance during the summer as usual, i.e. by 18:00 on the Monday of the previous week.

If your child participates in early childhood education in July, you can contact the unit and the staff normally with the eVaka messaging function.

If your child participates in early childhood education in some other unit than their usual one in July, you can contact the unit and the staff normally with the eVaka messaging function.

In June, all residents’ parks in Espoo will be open at least until Midsummer. The residents’ parks of Kivenlahti, Perkkaa, Viherkallio, Suvela, Hiirisuo, Olari and Tapiola are open through summer, also in July. Thursday 22 June the residents’ parks close already at 15 o’clock.
