Espoo-based mini-company wins the Pikkuyrittäjät final
The Pikkuyrittäjät award for this year’s best mini-company went to Maaginen varuste NY from Laajalahden koulu. The final was held at the event square of the Mall of Tripla in Pasila on Tuesday 18 April 2023.
Pikkuyrittäjät is a free-of-charge entrepreneurship programme for pupils in grades 4–6. Pupils learn about entrepreneurship and set up their own small business in groups of 2–4.
Emma is in fifth grade at Laajalahden koulu. She is a hobby horse enthusiast and also enjoys handicrafts. Through her company, Maaginen varuste, Emma sells high-quality handmade hobby horse equipment.
The products have been made as sustainably as possible, for example by using pull tabs from beverage cans instead of metal buckles.
Maaginen varuste wants to raise awareness of the hobby and show people how much time and effort young hobby horse fans put into their activity.
