Espoo suspends sister city activities with the cities of Gatchina and Sochi

In protest against the armed attack on Ukraine launched by the Russian Federation on 24 February 2022, the City of Espoo immediately suspends all sister city cooperation with the Russian cities of Gatchina and Sochi.

Espoo has had a sister city relationship with the City of Gatchina since 1968 and the City of Sochi since 1989. With this decision, all sister city cooperation will be ceased until further notice.
