Up-to-date information about maternity and child health clinic services

• It is important that you only visit the clinic in good health, take care of hand hygiene and maintain a safe distance of two metres from other people.
• We ask you not to bring many people with you, to prevent our waiting rooms from becoming too crowded and to help everyone maintain safe distances.
• Avoid spending unnecessary time on the maternity and child health clinic premises. Do not, for example, stay and play with your child after your appointment.
• Our staff wear a mask or a face shield.
• We recommend that everyone aged 12 and older wear a mask or a face shield.

• Maternity clinic appointments during pregnancy will be arranged in line with the normal schedule, with the exception of the first doctor’s appointment at week 17–18 of pregnancy which will still be offered if needed.
• The first pregnancy appointment and extensive examinations by a public health nurse can also be carried out remotely.
• You can bring your partner or support person with you to the clinic or they can attend the appointment remotely.
• The first appointment after childbirth primarily takes place at the clinic.

• Periodic health check-ups for 0–1-year-old children will be carried out as usual.
• During the autumn, after 16 August, nurse’s appointments can be booked for children aged 2 and 5 if necessary and for other children depending on the availability of appointments. For this reason, we will make changes to our online appointment booking system.
• You can book a nurse’s appointment based on your individual needs by calling our clinics’ telephone service, tel. +358 9 81622800 (Mon–Fri 8:30–13:30).
• Doctor’s appointments can be booked during the summer and autumn depending on availability.
• It is possible for both guardians to visit the clinic with their child, but one of them can also attend the appointment remotely. The family’s other children can only join them if their care cannot be arranged in any other way.
