Micromobility licence
As of 1 January 2026, the professional rental of shared bicycles, electric scooters or other light electric vehicles will require a micromobility licence granted by the city. The permit requirement is based on the summer 2025 amendment to the Act on Transport Services.
Micromobility licence conditions
The micromobility licence includes conditions related to driving speeds, parking and operating hours, for example. Applicants must familiarise themselves with the conditions before starting their operations and comply with the conditions throughout the licence period. The city monitors compliance with the conditions.
