The City of Espoo is looking for an operator for a commercial plot in Nedre Gloms

The City of Espoo is looking for an operator through an open two-phase application procedure to carry out activities in line with the detailed plan on the city-owned commercial plot (Nedre Gloms) and in its protected buildings in Karvasmäki. The application procedure is ongoing, and the city reviews applications in the order they are received. The application procedure ends once a suitable project is found, but not before 30 September 2026.

The selected project will be presented to the City Board’s Business and Competitiveness Subcommittee, which will make the final decision on the recipient of the reservation. During the planning reservation, the recipient is obliged to advance their project, for example by obtaining the permits required for the implementation of the project.

Once the project has all the necessary permits and meets all the requirements for implementation, the land lease and the deed of transfer for the protected buildings can be signed with the project. The land lease and the deed of transfer require a separate decision by the City Board’s Business and Competitiveness Subcommittee.
