museokruunu.fi(external link, opens in a new window)Silversmithing, one of the related professions within the goldsmithing industry, involves the traditional handcrafting of large silverware and functional objects using methods such as spinning, hammering and raising.
With this year’s selection, the Finnish Goldsmiths’ Association wishes to highlight the demanding and significant craft of silversmithing, a field that is under threat within the goldsmithing industry. It is a craft that requires an exceptional level of skill and expertise – the kind of mastery that can only be developed through years of experience and practice.
