Business Financial Planning Training

Would you like to gain a better understanding of your company’s finances and turn financial planning into a practical tool for business development?

In this two-part training, you will learn the fundamentals of business finance, key tools for financial planning, and how to prepare the financial calculations needed for business planning. The training is based on the Business Espoo business plan and financial calculation templates, which will also be used in the exercises.

The training is suitable for entrepreneurs and anyone planning to start a business.

Training programme

Thursday 15 October 2026, 14.00–16.00

• Introduction to financial planning as part of a business plan
• Fundamentals of value creation and sales
• Financial calculations: key concepts, structure, and practical exercises

Thursday 29 October 2026, 14.00–16.00

• Applying for a Start-up grant and financial planning
• Key financial considerations for new entrepreneurs
• Financial calculations, part 2: concepts, structure, and practical exercises

The training is led by Sara Sepiddam, an experienced financial expert with more than ten years of experience in various finance roles. Her areas of expertise include financial management, financial calculations, and financial planning.

The training takes a practical approach to finance, helping you apply the knowledge directly to your own business planning and financial decision-making.
