Baby Day Little Ones’ Morning programme

Ensimmäinen koti – baby theatre (in Finnish)

9:30 am

11 am

Ensimmäinen koti is a sweet and humorous baby theatre performance created and performed by Eero Ojala, designed for babies aged 4–12 months and their parents. Based on sensory experiences and rhythm, the object-theatre-inspired performance introduces its youngest audience members to different elements and spaces of the home.

The performance lasts approximately 25 minutes and is followed by an optional play session, during which participants can explore the elements used in the performance.

Each performance has room for 20 adult–baby pairs. Places can be reserved at the museum ticket desk when purchasing your admission ticket.

Music sessions at the Oppi&ilo activity station (in Finnish)

9:30–10 am

10:30–11 am

11:30 am–12 noon

There is plenty to do at the Oppi&ilo station throughout the morning! Three music sessions for babies and toddlers will be held during the morning, led by Pauliina Ruokari.

Each session has room for 10 adult–child pairs. Places can be reserved at the museum ticket desk when purchasing your admission ticket.

Oppi&ilo activity station

9 am–12 noon

At the activity station, little ones can discover Oppi&ilo’s new activities for babies and toddlers. Baby Day participants will also receive a copy of Oppi&ilo’s new storybook Yrre ja hervoton hepulihäntä. The activity station is closed during the music sessions.

Oppi&ilo staff will be there to introduce the activities and products, share tips and guide the fun. Yrre, a favourite mascot among children, will also join in!

Playing with Colours and Shapes – nonstop play station

9 am–12 noon

At the nonstop play station, the youngest members of the family can explore colours, shapes and materials by moving, stacking and building. Welcome to the playful world of colours and shapes!
