How can parents support their child’s early literacy development in Finnish? This practical workshop will introduce simple and effective ways to support children as they learn to read and write in Finnish, both at home and in everyday situations.

About the Speaker
Evelyse Eerola, Educator and Researcher
Evelyse Eerola is an education researcher and specialist in early literacy, with a background in early childhood education and many years of experience working as a preschool teacher in Finland. Originally from Brazil, she is also an immigrant and understands the challenges and opportunities of raising and educating children in a multilingual environment.
She holds a Master’s degree in Bilingual Literacy and is currently a doctoral researcher, studying the experiences of immigrant children as they develop early literacy skills in the Finnish education system.
