The route to the main entrance

• Construction work will affect access to the library. There is no parking in front of the building, and the area cannot be used for drop-off traffic. Estimated completion date: June 2026.
• The nearest pick up and drop-off areas are at the intersection of Kauppamiehentie and Kaupinkalliontie, and at Tapionaukio, in front of Hotel Garden.
• The route to the entrance is smooth and sufficiently wide and illuminated.

The main entrance

• The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly and the glass doors have contrast markings. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door opens automatically with a motion sensor.
• The entrance has thresholds over 2 cm high.

• The route to the entrance is guided, smooth and sufficiently wide and illuminated.
• The entrance stands out clearly and is illuminated. There is a canopy above the entrance.
• The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly and the glass doors have contrast markings. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door is heavy or otherwise hard to open.
• The entrance has thresholds over 2 cm high.
• The customer service point is on the same floor as this entrance.

• The customer service point has a toilet marked as accessible on the same floor. The toilet does not have sufficient room for a wheelchair and the door is too narrow.
