Old Pettson lives alone in his cottage, with no one to talk to. One day, a kind neighbour brings him a little kitten. Pettson chats with the cat about this and that, and then suddenly – the cat begins to talk, at least to old Pettson.

This marks the beginning of a delightful life together for Pettson and Findus, with lost screws, a frightening furry creature and, of course, pancake cake.

Pettson and Findus in Teater Hevosenkenkä’s version is a story about friendship and loneliness – themes that interest both young and old.
