Sello Hall
sayr is an intimate, fully improvised solo concert in which guitarist and composer Jussi Reijonen will take the listeners on a journey through musical worlds. The music performed with a steel-stringed acoustic guitar and Arabian 'ud' lute draws inspiration from jazz, Arabian and East African music as well as Finnish folklore, reflecting Reijonen’s multicultural background and his long career in transcultural expression. Rather than just crossing geographical boundaries, sayr invites the listener to pause, listen and go along with the stream of music created in the moment.
Duration ca. 1 hr, incl. short intermission
The performance will take place in Sello Hall's foyer, where audience capacity is limited. You can secure a spot for the event in advance by registering via the online form no later than the day before the concert (see link above). Registration opens 2 weeks before the performance. Those who have registered in advance must arrive at the concert by 1:15 PM, after which entry will also be granted at the door if space is still available.
Free admission. The seats are filled in order of arrival. Doors to Sello Hall open 30 minutes before the performance. The café is open.
