Espoo-based accordion artist Maria Kalaniemi is an internationally renowned musician and also a talented, distinctive composer. Kirkkonummi-based harmonica player and Doctor of Music Jouko Kyhälä is one of the leading Finnish professional folk musicians. He has been leading the world-famous Sväng harmonica quartet for 20 years, but has also had a significant career as a soloist, in theatre, film music and as a composer for contemporary dance.
