The elegant, timeless, and highly acclaimed singer-songwriter Laura Moisio will release her sixth album, Aina jossain muualla (Always Somewhere Else), in autumn 2026. The album explores themes of human relationships, connection, and separation.

The album was recorded during the bitter frost of February in an old village school. The unique recording location translates into a sense of freedom and a powerful presence on the record. Following the release of the new album, the artist will embark on an album release tour with her long-time band. The line-up features guitarist Lauri Myllymäki, bassist Ville Rauhala, and drummer Sebastian Krühn, with Teemu Vänskä joining as a new addition on keyboards.

A first taste of the new music will be heard on May 15th, when Moisio releases the single Jotain muuta (Something Else). The track introduces the songwriter’s evolved style, where the sensitivity of folk meets warm synthesizers and a more rhythmic sound than before. “The song started with the idea that love is always something unique—something that cannot be fully put into words. It’s not what others talk about, but something else that only someone in love can feel. The song is a kind of anthem to the uniqueness of another person,” Moisio says.

Laura Moisio has received praise from both audiences and critics alike, and her work has been recognized with nominations for the Teosto Prize and Emma Awards. Following her previous solo album, Vieras maa (2023), she has also been seen performing in the ranks of the supergroup Ne Lintuizet.
