espoo.fiAlgae (and other microscopic aquatic organisms) come to life through models, images and videos. This exhibition was developed by Algal researcher Sonja Repetti as part of her PhD research into what people know, think and feel about algae and how we can better connect people with the world of microalgae.

Sonja Repetti:
Sonja Repetti(external link, opens in a new window) (she/her) is a doctoral researcher at The University of Helsinki (Tvärminne Zoological Station, Centre for the Social Study of Microbes, HELSUS) with a passion for weird organisms called protists. She is interested in the capacity of algae to respond and adapt to environmental change, as well understanding what people know and feel about algae. She is seeking out ways of connecting people and the microscopic world.
