Artist statement

Quiet Moments is a collection of small-format paintings that reflects the way I experience and interpret the world around me.

Colour, composition and atmosphere are at the heart of my work. Rather than following fixed rules, I trust intuition. Each painting develops naturally through my personal response to colour, light and the balance within a composition.

I enjoy working with different media, including watercolour, oil and soft pastel. Among them, oil painting and soft pastel are the media I feel most connected to, allowing me to express atmosphere, colour and emotion in the most natural way.

I especially enjoy creating small-format paintings. To me, each one is a small world of its own—complete, intimate and capable of holding the feeling of a single moment. This format allows me to express what matters most to me: atmosphere, colour and emotion.

Most of the works in this exhibition were painted directly from life, while others were inspired by observed moments. In every painting, my intention is not simply to depict a subject, but to express my own way of seeing it.

For me, conveying atmosphere and a sense of life is more important than pursuing perfect precision. I hope these works invite the viewer to slow down, look more carefully and discover the quiet beauty of everyday moments.
