Join us for Anton Monti’s author visit at Salonki on Thursday, September 17, starting at 6 pm.

The most passionate groups of soccer fans are called ultras. The term means “extreme.” Ultras value loyalty, community, and independence, and they consider themselves the soul of their soccer clubs. In Italy, even club executives have to listen to them.

At their worst, clashes between ultras result in deaths and injuries. Shortly after the pandemic, however, new and even more dangerous players appeared in the ultras’ stands in Italy. Mafia representatives had realized that the ultras held power. They wanted that power for themselves by any means necessary.

Anton Monti’s chilling non-fiction book reveals how corruption, violence, and drug trafficking took root in Italian soccer, and how the Mafia infiltrated it all.

The route to the main entrance

The 10 accessible parking spaces are located in a parking hall over 10 m from the entrance. The width of the parking spaces is at least 3.6 m.
