Exhibition Centre WeeGee and KAMU Espoo City Museum
Welcome to Exhibition Centre WeeGee to enjoy spring and live music!
At the WeeGee Live concert in the lobby of the exhibition centre, singer-songwriter Emma Salokoski and accordion virtuoso Johanna Juhola will perform as a duo. The free concert, part of WeeGee’s 20th anniversary celebration and coinciding with Emma’s name day, offers a warm retrospective of songs recorded by Emma Salokoski.
Espoo City Museum KAMU, EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art, the Mauri Kunnas exhibition and the Futuro House are open until 18:00, so you can easily combine the concert with a museum visit and enjoy a full evening of culture!
The powerful yet sensitive Emma Salokoski has released eight albums and performed both as a soloist with symphony orchestras and on the main stages of rock festivals. Throughout her impressive career, her musical style has ranged widely, but the common thread has always been storytelling through songs.
Salokoski performs as part of a creative duo with Johanna Juhola. Juhola has been described as a groundbreaking accordion superstar and a rebellious innovator of tango. Like Salokoski, Juhola masters the aesthetics of many styles: she has created her own distinctive approach to stage music, chamber music, folk music, hip hop and tango.
Admission to the concert is free. Advance registration is required. Register here(external link, opens in a new window). Restaurant Delicatessen WeeGee will be open until 19:00.
