13:00-14:05

  • Opening remarks, Maria Tiilikkala
  • Appreciative interaction creates cooperation, Lari Karreinen

Where the aim is to strengthen cooperation, the solution often lies in being heard and appreciated better. Lari Karreinen, a solution-oriented coach and long-term developer of NGO cooperation, will guide us to better interaction: how to meet another person without the burdens of the past, be heard and seek the common good?

Karreinen's talk will show you how to focus on strengths in various situations. You will take home practical tips and exercises that will help you build more effective cooperation with individuals, organisations or the city alike.

  • Key programme for improving literacy in Espoo, Programme Managers Petri Saarela and Valia Wistuba

The whole city takes part in the work on literacy in Espoo, and NGOs and associations also contribute to these valuable efforts. How could we develop our work and reach residents even better?

  • Current news about Lähellä services, Myra Magnusson, HyTe ry

15:15-16:30 Discussion 'Listening Espoo' and opportunity to explore the stands

In the discussion titled Kuuleva Espoo ('Listening Espoo') aimed at NGO representatives, we reflect on how the cooperation between Espoo and NGOs can be strengthened, enabling it to lend better support for the well-being of Espoo residents. How can we build practical cooperation and work together to remove barriers to cooperation? This moderated discussion will bring together NGOs, city officials and experts. The purpose of the discussion is to build a common understanding.

The participants in the discussion include Chair of the City Board Mervi Katainen, Employment Director Hilla-Maaria Suomi and Director of Immigration Affairs Sanna Lindholm. The discussion will be moderated by the city’s experts Maria Tiilikkala and Said Aden.

The first 50 people to register will be able to participate in the discussion. While the discussion is underway, this is also a good opportunity to visit the NGO stands.
