What happens at the library after the doors close and the lights go out? Come find out!

Welcome to the “Evening at the Tapiola Library” event. Here’s what’s in store...

Please register for the event in advance through the staff. The first 20 registrants will be accepted.

The event is aimed at elementary school-aged children and is organized as part of the library’s participatory budgeting initiative, Toimintatonni.

The route to the main entrance

Construction work will affect access to the library. There is no parking in front of the building, and the area cannot be used for drop-off traffic. Estimated completion date: June 2026.
The nearest pick up and drop-off areas are at the intersection of Kauppamiehentie and Kaupinkalliontie, and at Tapionaukio, in front of Hotel Garden.

The entrance stands out clearly and is illuminated. There is a canopy above the entrance.
The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly and the glass doors have contrast markings. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door opens automatically with a motion sensor.
The entrance has thresholds over 2 cm high.

The entrance stands out clearly and is illuminated. There is a canopy above the entrance.
The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly and the glass doors have contrast markings. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door is heavy or otherwise hard to open.
The entrance has thresholds over 2 cm high.
