Have you ever wanted to try out esports games, but never found the right opportunity? Now, you can join this spring’s esports training groups! You won’t need to buy any games or be a god gamer: we’ll be learning about competitive gaming with the rest of the team.
Together, we’ll practise what it actually takes to play as a team: effective game communication, making strategies, and taking different roles in the team. This spring, we will also focus on mental fortitude and create good practice routines. We’ll be playing various competitive games this spring, such as Fortnite, Marvel Rivals and Overwatch. You can also ask for other games! At the practice sessions, you’ll get to meet other esports enthusiasts and play as a team. The spring’s climax is a tournament: show everyone what you’ve got in a competition against other teams from Espoo.
The Espoo Esports Hobby Path Project offers free e-after-school sports activities for lower secondary school pupils. The hobby groups generally meet at schools, in the vicinity of schools, or online. The project models the Esports Hobby Path by offering young people short-term esports hobbies in autumn 2025 and spring 2026. Hobby groups will be organized between February 2 and April 30. The principles of a safer space are applied in the hobby groups.
