Anssi Kela’s debut album Nummela, released in 2001, quickly became a defining album for a generation and helped shape the Finnish music scene in the early 2000s. Kela is now celebrating the album’s 25th anniversary with a tour that begins as part of the Helsinki Festival. After the tour, he will take the first extended break from live performances of his career. Tickets for the fourteen-concert tour will go on sale on Wednesday, 6 May.

Audiences will hear every song from the album performed live. The setlist includes beloved hits such as Puistossa, Milla, Mikan faijan BMW, and Nummela, as well as songs that have not been played live for many years. Special stage design will recreate the atmosphere and world of the Nummela album. Between songs, Kela has promised to share stories about the songs and their creation.

The concerts will be divided into two parts. After the intermission, Kela will perform hits from his other albums. Following the concert at the Savoy Theatre, he will still make his traditional appearance during the Christmas holiday season at Krapin Paja in Tuusula, after which he will begin the first extended touring break of his career. The length of the break has not yet been determined.
