Killer, one of the biggest Finnish pop phenomena of the early 2000s, quickly rose to become one of the most talked-about pop-rock bands of its time. Founded in 1999 in the corridors of Helsinki’s legendary Lepakkoluola, the band’s first line-up included Aki Hakala and Antti Eräkangas (who later joined The Rasmus and Kwan). However, after the Dynasty collective reorganized, Killer’s line-up solidified as Siiri Nordin (vocals), Tuomas Norvio (guitar), Teijo Jämsä (drums), and Timo Huhtala (bass).

The band’s debut album, Sickeningly Pretty & Unpleasantly Vain, was released in 2001. Produced by Lauri Ylönen and Pauli Rantasalmi of The Rasmus, the second single All I Want performed excellently on Finnish charts and reached MTV Nordic—a significant gateway to international markets at the time, opening doors for Killer across Europe. With the release of the 2003 album Sure You Know How To Drive This Thing, Killer was already touring Central Europe, both with their own shows and as a support act for HIM and The Rasmus. The hit single Naughty Boy sealed the band’s status on the Finnish live scene; between 2002 and 2004, Killer performed up to 200 shows a year. Their energetic and boisterous live presence became the band’s trademark.

Now, the band returns to both the studio and the stage. From the original line-up, Siiri Nordin and Teijo Jämsä are back, joined by bassist Jarkko Toivanen and guitarist Matias Kiiveri.
