Sonia is a rising artist from Jyväskylä, captivating audiences with her soulful and honey-toned voice. With a strong musical background, she has performed extensively as a drummer, including in the live lineup of the band Younghearted. Now focusing on her solo career, Sonia writes and composes her music herself. Her alternative pop sound draws influences from artists such as 070 Shake and Jordan Rakei.

Sonia released her highly anticipated debut album Punainen Kuu in spring 2025. The album’s first single Kontrollii marked the beginning of a new and confident Sonia 2.0 era. In autumn 2025, she also appeared on the latest season of Mist sä tuut?, a series where Finnish rap classics are reinterpreted by new voices. The show features, among others, Sonia’s version of Gettomasa’s hit Muijii stadis. Radiant and charismatic, Sonia kicked off 2026 with her single PLAYBOY, which entered Spotify’s Top 50 chart shortly after its release.

Sonia’s strength lies in her ability to reflect her own emotions in her lyrics, allowing her live performances to bring the audience close to the emotional core of her music. The connection between artist and audience is central to Sonia – both on stage and in her music – and her goal is to be anything but distant as a performer. Her live shows are intimate and draw everyone in with their captivating energy. Performing with her band, Sonia follows her intuition and the vibe on stage. Every show is unique!
