Sensory Path for Babies Opening event | KellariGalleria

On the sensory path, babies can marvel, wonder, listen, feel, and peek into an enchanting, forest-like world.

The sensory space, experienced in the arms of their own adult, is pleasantly cool and suitable for exploration in outdoor clothing. For floor play, you can move to the playroom in the Taidetalo main floor.

Designed and implemented by art instructor Jenni Vilander.

The Sensory Path can be experienced at KellariGalleria until February 24, Monday–Friday from 9 am to 4 pm, and on Saturdays during events.

The route to the main entrance

The 2 accessible parking spaces are located outdoors over 10 m from the entrance. The width of the parking spaces is less than 3.6 m.
The pick-up and drop-off area is located in the vicinity of the entrance, giving easy access to the pavement.
The route to the entrance is guided, smooth and sufficiently wide and illuminated.
There is a steep slope on the passage.
The passage has at least 4 steps.
The route has a ramp under 6 m long, with handrails on both sides.

The main entrance

The entrance is hard to perceive but illuminated
Aurora consists of three buildings surrounding a large, sloping yard: Meijeri, Taidetalo and Tilanhoitajantalo (office building).
In connection with the entrance, there are at least 4 steps.
The entrance has a ramp under 6 m long, with handrails on both sides.
The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door is heavy or otherwise hard to open.
The entrance has thresholds over 2 cm high.
The foyer is cramped.
