AI is reshaping creative work at every level – from ownership and rights to how ideas are developed, iterated, and brought to life. On 12 March 2026, Business Espoo hosts the Business Espoo Breakfast Club: AI × Creativity at Innopoli, Otaniemi.

The morning programme is built around two thematic sessions. The first looks at AI, copyright, and the future of creativity, exploring how creative work is owned, protected, and shared in an AI-driven world. The second focuses on the meta shift in thinking and creating with AI, examining how new technologies are changing creative processes, studio structures, and ways of working.

The programme combines keynotes, discussions, concrete case examples, and short info sessions highlighting available support, funding, and services for creative professionals and companies. The event concludes with informal networking.

The Breakfast Club is open to all creatives, freelancers, entrepreneurs, and industry stakeholders interested in the future of creative work and creative businesses.

The goal is to offer an event that helps creative professionals – artists, musicians, game developers, AV creators, freelancers, and creative entrepreneurs – understand how AI can support creative work and how it is reshaping copyright, IPR, and technology.

The event is organised in collaboration with the FAIR EDIH project and the Game Hub for SMEs in the Capital Region project, both co-funded by the EU.

Speakers

Herkko Hietanen is a lawyer with a PhD; he holds a master’s degree in software engineering and is a partner at Reson. Since 2001, he has participated in over 100 copyright-related court cases, defended his doctoral dissertation in technology law, published dozens of articles in international journals on IT and media law, served as an executive in an international growth company, and conducted research at some of the world’s top universities.

Joeli Niva is a game industry lawyer specialising in data protection, contracts, and intellectual property. He works as Legal Counsel at Rovio Entertainment and serves as Vice Chair and Head of Operations at IGDA Finland. With a background in gaming and technology law and hands-on experience as a game music composer, he brings a practical, creator-aware perspective to legal questions in game development.

Tatu Petersen-Jessen is the CEO and Co-Founder of Odd Latent, an AI-native game studio built around GenAI as real production infrastructure from day one. Previously Senior Art Director at Rovio and Art Team Manager at Remedy, he has led large creative and production teams across mobile and AAA, overseeing pipelines, outsourcing, and hands-on development through scale and pressure. Tatu is passionate about philosophy, leadership, AI, and art — and serious about improving how we work, think, and create across all of them.

Narmeen Marji is an international award-winning architect and XR designer exploring how cities, space, and architecture can exist beyond physical constraints. Her work spans large-scale urban projects across the Arab region as well as international cultural heritage initiatives with UNESCO. Currently a PhD researcher at Tampere University, she investigates virtual urban space, architectural fiction, and impossible architectures—using XR to imagine futures that challenge how we design, inhabit, and experience cities.

Reidar Wasenius works at the intersection of human and digital minds. As a computer expert, AI researcher, and pioneering “Personal Brainer,” he has helped people and organisations think, communicate, and perform better in an increasingly digital world for over four decades. Known to millions as one of Finland’s most trusted voices—on trains, in telecoms, and for national institutions—Reidar is also know for his talent for translating complex systems into insight that humans can actually use.

Kimmo Syväri is an entrepreneur and the founder of Ääri, a creative production house and venture studio based in Helsinki. He is co-founding Safespace together with Mirka Parenteau, Leandro Ruighini, and Jaakko Lindgren.
