Welcome to enjoy candle light swimming in a cosy atmosphere!
You can participate in the event with a normal entrance fee to the swimming pool.
The route to the main entrance
- The 6 accessible parking spaces are located outdoors over 10 m from the entrance. The width of the parking spaces is less than 3.6 m.
- The pick-up and drop-off area is located in the vicinity of the entrance, giving easy access to the pavement.
- The route to the entrance is guided, smooth and sufficiently wide and illuminated and it uses movement-guiding surface material.
- The entrance stands out clearly and is illuminated. There is a canopy above the entrance.
- The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly and the glass doors have contrast markings. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door opens automatically with a motion sensor.
- The sports facilities are located on floor 1.
- For moving around, there is a lift, which can hold a wheelchair; the door opens automatically. The floor numbers in the lift can be felt with fingers. (The minimum dimensions for an accessible lift are width 1.1 m and depth 1.4 m.)
- The service point has directions to the different facilities.
- There is a heated storage area for wheelchairs and prams next to the entrance.
- The facility has an accessible toilet on the entrance floor.
- The customer service/cashier's desk is located on the entrance floor.
- The customer service/cashier's desk can be found easily. The desk is accessible to customers standing only.
- At the customer service/cashier's desk, you can borrow a wheelchair, shower wheelchair, rollator walker.
- The facility features a quiet area for guide and aid dogs.
- The dressing rooms are located on the same floor as the sports facilities.
- The accessible dressing room is located in connection to the men's/women's dressing rooms. The door of the dressing room opens easily manually. In the dressing room, the door of the accessible section opens easily by hand.
- The accessible dressing room features a dressing bench and sufficient room for an assistant. Good illumination and clear contrasts facilitate spatial perception. The numbering of the lockers is clearly legible and tangible by hand (embossed or Braille numbers). An accessible toilet is provided in connection to the men's/women's dressing room.
- The shower room is connected to the men's/women's dressing room. The door of the shower room opens easily manually.
- The sauna is connected to the men's/women's dressing room. The door opens easily manually.
- The sauna has room for two wheelchairs. It is possible to move onto the lowest bench from the wheelchair. The upper benches can be accessed through easily navigable stepswith handrails.
- The large/deep pool features accessible entry via a pool lift or gently-sloping steps. The steps have handrails on both sides.
- The children's pool features accessible entry via gently-sloping steps. The steps have handrails on both sides.
- The teaching pool features accessible entry via a pool lift or gently-sloping steps. The pool lift can be used independently. The steps have handrails on both sides.
- The whirlpool bath features accessible entry via gently-sloping steps. The steps have handrails on both sides.
- An accessible toilet is available in the pool area.
- Accessible pathways from the indoor areas to the outdoor pools are available.
