Cardinal Lawrence (Ralph Fiennes) has been ordered to lead this secret process after the unexpected death of a beloved Pope. When the most powerful leaders of the Catholic Church have been gathered from all over the world and locked away in the depths of the Vatican, Lawrence finds himself embroiled in a conspiracy, revealing a secret that might shake the very foundations of the Catholic Church.
