In 2026, the beloved Children’s Museum Festival will take place in a festive spirit as the exhibition centre and its museums celebrate their 20th anniversary.

The festival will mark the occasion with joyful and surprising birthday celebrations. Everyone is invited! The programme will be created together with multicultural families from Espoo. The event offers shared experiences and joy for children and adults alike through art and culture.

The programme will be published in early 2026.

The Children’s Museum Festival is organised in collaboration with EMMA, KAMU Espoo City Museum, Exhibition Centre WeeGee, and Leikki – the Museum of Play.

The route to the main entrance

The 2 accessible parking spaces are located outdoors over 10 m from the entrance. The width of the parking spaces is at least 3.6 m.
The pick-up and drop-off area is located in the vicinity of the entrance, giving easy access to the pavement.
The route to the entrance is guided, smooth and sufficiently wide and illuminated and it uses movement-guiding surface material.
The passage has at least 4 steps with handrails on both sides.
The route has a ramp under 6 m long, with handrails on one side.

The entrance is located in a recess and is illuminated.

The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly and the glass doors have contrast markings. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door opens automatically with a motion sensor.

In the facility

The customer service point has three floors.
For moving around, there is a lift, which can hold a wheelchair; the door opens automatically. The floor numbers in the lift can be felt with fingers. The button for the exit floor stands out from the other buttons. (The minimum dimensions for an accessible lift are width 1.1 m and depth 1.4 m.)
The doors in the facility stand out clearly. The glass doors have contrast markings.
The facility has an accessible toilet on the entrance floor.
There is a second accessible toilet on floor -1.
