In 2026, the traditional Children’s Museum Festival will be celebrated in a festive spirit as Exhibition Centre WeeGee and its museums turn 20, and the Museum Leikki celebrates its 30th anniversary. Everyone is invited to join the party!

This year’s festival weekend is all about joyful and surprising birthday fun. Let’s celebrate everyone’s birthday at the festival! Local multicultural families and communities from Espoo have taken part in designing the programme. Expect a family weekend full of shared joy and unforgettable moments with music, circus acts, and lively workshop stations.

The festival programme spreads beyond the museums to the Espoo School of Art and outdoors, where you can try hobbyhorse riding or borrow books from Espoo City Library’s experience bus Välkky.

The Children’s Museum Festival is organised by EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art, Exhibition Centre WeeGee, KAMU Espoo City Museum, and Leikki – the Museum of Play, in collaboration with the Espoo School of Art and the Välkky experience bus.

Entry to the Children’s Museum Festival is included in the museum admission fee, and is free for children! The festival takes place in two museum buildings, each with its own ticket prices (WeeGee 0–20 €, Leikki 0–15 €).
