In 2025, costee has firmly established himself at the forefront of Finnish alternative pop. Over his eight-year solo career, he has amassed more than 100 million streams, released four successful albums, and performed numerous sold-out shows — most recently on the Cult of costee tour in autumn 2025 at Tavastia in Helsinki, Teatro in Turku, and Lutakko in Jyväskylä.

Earlier in 2025, his single Sekaisin, which made a strong impression at UMK with its striking stage show, rose to become the second most-streamed song on Spotify and also received extensive radio airplay. Released in the autumn, costee’s fourth album Nää pirut on mun kavereit, which streamed platinum, is the most ambitious and personal work in the artist’s career. Catchy melodies, emotional lyrics and a strong visual aesthetic are combined to form a whole that speaks particularly to young adults. The themes of the album deal with the extremes of life and are based on costee’s own personal experiences.
