Harp is a dance poem and live concert, inspired by the myth of the harpies. According to the legend, these half-woman, half-bird creatures stole food, devoured people, and served as divine judges. The performance deconstructs the myth into words, syllables, and sounds, then reassembles them into poems, bodily sensations, dramatic scenes, and ballads. It weaves a playful choreographic tapestry where pearls, words, songs, and the dances of life and death all carry equal weight.
Duration: 70 min
Languages: Nonverbal / English / Finnish / Swedish
Recommended age: 8+
The performance will be presented in EMMA’s Aitio space on 17 December 2025 and 4 January 2026. After the second performance, there will be a Q&A session with the artists.
