The advanced sailing and boating course is ideal for young sailors who have already completed a beginners’ course, taken part in a sailing group, or who already have similar sailing experience.

In the advanced course you will learn more advanced sailing skills such as sailing into the wind (tacking) and into the tailwind, sailing different types of courses, cruising and much more!

Schedule

The courses’ program runs each day from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The day begins and ends at the club’s Activity Center (Toimintakeskus). Instructors are present from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., so participants are welcome to arrive up to half an hour before the program starts and can be picked up up to half an hour after it ends.

Meals

Lunch and an afternoon snack are included in the course fee. We also recommend packing some extra snacks from home to complement the provided snack.

Equipment

During the course, we aim to spend as much time on the water as possible. Instructors plan the daily program according to the weather conditions, but camp days are not cancelled due to bad weather. Sailors should pack plenty of clothing suitable for different weather conditions, as well as several changes of clothes.

Safety

Each course has 3 to 7 sailing instructors, depending on the number of participants. All instructors are trained in safety procedures.

We take out accident insurance for sailing course participants. Insurance for any equipment, such a your phone, must be taken out by yourself.
