Experience a unique musical journey in the cozy atmosphere at Meijeri’s hall!
Ida Elina is a Finnish singer-songwriter and pop-kantele virtuoso who has revolutionized the traditional national instrument, the kantele, turning it into a modern, globally recognized phenomenon. Trained in classical music at the Sibelius Academy, she blends pop, world music, and the distinctive sound of the kantele to create catchy melodies and deeply emotional stories. Her performances are energetic and charismatic—whether it’s an intimate solo gig or an epic collaboration with a symphony orchestra.
Her music draws inspiration from Finnish traditions, such as the Kalevala, while also featuring global pop hits—imagine Billie Jean or Skyfall played on the kantele!
The program includes hits from her latest albums, such as Capital Letters (2024), music from the short film Under the Northern Skies, and interactive moments with the audience. Come and experience the “Pop Kantele Diva” on a January evening!
Feel free to bring your own evening snack to the club.
Duration: approx. 1 hour.
Parking at Träskändanristi 4.
