At the Glims Farmstead Museum, Christmas is celebrated in the spirit of olden times. The residential building will be decorated in traditional Christmas style from November 30, 2025, to January 4, 2026. 

You can enjoy the traditional Christmas atmosphere at Glims on both weekdays and weekends. On Sundays, November 30 and December 7, there will be Christmas crafts and guided tours about how Christmas was celebrated in the past. 

Traditional Christmas weekends will be held on December 13–14, December 20–21, December 27–28, and January 3–4, 2026. On these weekends, the museum will be exceptionally open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 4 PM. There will be lots of fun activities for the whole family, such as Christmas-themed craft workshops and atmospheric choir singing. In the museum shop, you’ll find lovely Christmas items for yourself or as gifts.

The Glims café is also open Tue–Sun from 10 AM to 5 PM. Come and taste delicious savory and sweet Christmas treats! 

Please use public transportation when visiting the museum. On weekdays, we recommend that independent visitors come in the afternoon, when there are fewer school and daycare groups in the area. 

On weekdays, we offer guided tours on traditional Christmas celebrations for early childhood education groups and schoolchildren from Tuesday to Friday starting at 9 AM, from December 4, 2025, to January 2, 2026. You can find all our educational services on our website under "Learn at the Museum".
