Counter-Strike 2 Peluri -esports group for 7th-9th graders in Otaniemi
The Peluri group is suitable for enthusiasts of the sport who want to evolve as individuals and team members. The group focuses on developing individual skills, helping participants learn the skills required to work in a team, as well what it’s like to be coached. Healthy lifestyles and social skills are an important part of training and development, so an effort is made to also develop these alongside training in the sport. The Peluri group facilitates personal development and prepares the player to act as part of a team. The age limit for the game is 16, but with a parent’s consent and when an instructor is present the age limit can be relaxed by 3 years in the group in question, meaning the youngest participants can be 13-years-old.
The Espoo Esports Hobby Path Project offers free e-after-school sports activities for lower secondary school pupils. The hobby groups generally meet at schools, in the vicinity of schools, or online. The project models the Esports Hobby Path by offering young people short-term esports hobbies in autumn 2025 and spring 2026. Hobby groups will be organized between February 2 and April 30. The principles of a safer space are applied in the hobby groups.
