Counter-Strike 2 Rento (relaxed) -esports group for 7th-9th graders in Otaniemi

The Rento (relaxed) group is the perfect first step in the competitive environment of esports and the CS2 game. The group completes individual and team exercises that provide the ability to work in an esports team and evolve as an individual. In addition to training in the sport, the activities focus on developing a healthy lifestyle. The relaxed group prepares the participant to act as part of the group/team and helps them develop the individual skills required for gaming. The age limit for the game is 16, but with a parent’s consent and when an instructor is present the age limit can be relaxed by 3 years in the group in question, meaning the youngest participants can be 13-years-old. 

The Espoo Esports Hobby Path Project offers free e-after-school sports activities for lower secondary school pupils. The hobby groups generally meet at schools, in the vicinity of schools, or online. The project models the Esports Hobby Path by offering young people short-term esports hobbies in autumn 2025 and spring 2026. Hobby groups will be organized between February 2 and April 30. The principles of a safer space are applied in the hobby groups.
