Heritage roosters know how to build nests and some even look after the baby chicks. In the olden times it was known that roosters lay an egg at Easter. This is Easter Ukko the rooster has only been dancing around to his lady chickens and forgotten about looking after the baby chicks. How many chicks have run away?
You can go and peek into Glims farmstead museum's buildings to see how many escaped baby chicks you can find, and also think if Ukko the rooster remembered to lay the egg.
Easter is coming to Glims Farmstead Museum! In our Easter exhibition from 29.3-5.4 you can learn about 19th century Easter food and traditions.
