Hey you, Espoo resident! Every year, we give grants to organisations for activities that promote wellbeing, health and social inclusion. How should grants be allocated if the number of applications that meet the application criteria exceeds the amount of available organisational grants?

Participate in a Voxit discussion and tell us how you think grants should be weighted. This is important because organisations provide preventive services and activities that improve the wellbeing, communality and inclusion of Espoo residents.

The views expressed by residents in the Voxit discussion will be used to support decision-making when the Sports and Wellbeing Committee decides on the allocation of grants. We invite you to the Voxit discussion – your voice is important to us!

The organisational grant discussion will be open from 2 February to 22 February 2026.

Join the discussion

Voxit discussions are an easy and fun way to exert influence and make your voice heard in city development.

Who can participate? All Espoo residents.

How does it work? In the course of the discussion, you will vote anonymously on statements about the topic by selecting yes/no/skip. You can influence the discussion by adding new statements. The discussions are shaped as participants vote on the original and added statements and contribute their own ones. You should participate in the discussion multiple times so that all the statements added during the discussion are answered.

The Voxit participation platform is accessible and secure. All discussions conducted there are constructive and moderated. People with different native languages can participate in the discussion in their native language by using the translation button available on the page.

Why? In recent years, the number of applications that meet the application criteria has exceeded the amount of available organisational grants. We want to hear the residents’ views on how grants should be allocated in this case. Consulting the residents will provide us with more valuable information to support decision-making, and the Voxit discussion will let us know what kind of decisions the residents support. This way, we can increase trust in decision-making.
